Volume 2, Issue 4 - April 2007

This month, I want to take the opportunity to introduce everyone to a new member of the InSys family. Earlier in this month, Rob Salerno joined the firm to take on the newly-defined role of "Consultant Relationship Director."

Maintaining close contact with our people in the field is a never-ending challenge, and that will be Rob's primary responsibility. He'll be looking over project status, keeping tabs on employee and client satisfaction and working to facilitate communication wherever necessary. Consider him an additional channel into InSys, if you need to send a message up the ladder.

Rob has more than 15 years of IT experience, and for most of them he's worked in the areas of procurement and IT resource management. You'll probably get to meet him in person over the next few weeks, so this is just a quick heads up. I'm very happy to have him on the team, and am sure he'll be an asset to the organization.

Until next month,

Linda Magnusson-Rosario, CEO

One Dog at a Time

Each month, we like to run something about what people are doing when they're not on the job. Usually, we're reporting on InSys employees, but this month we're reaching a bit further, to talk about the off-duty work of Charlene Jackson, an IT Director and InSys client at Avis Budget Car Rental.

Charlene is both a volunteer and an officer for an animal welfare group called Eleventh Hour Rescue. They're an all volunteer organization of about 50 people, connected to a virtual community of other rescue groups, high kill pounds and shelters, as well as dog care professionals and facilities. Eleventh Hour volunteers take in dogs on a foster care basis when they're scheduled to be euthanized due to overcrowded facitilies. The volunteers work at weekly pet adoption events to find forever homes for these highly adoptable dogs and even serve as transporters, moving dogs in trouble to someplace where they'll have a second chance at life.

"It's an incredibly dedicated bunch," says Charlene, "although there's always more work to be done. People need to understand the sheer numbers of animals in trouble, and realize that Eleventh Hour is a place where you can make a difference."

There's more information about Eleventh Hour Rescue at their website. You can donate money, food or supplies, and find ways to volunteer. If you're a dog person, you already know how much they give to us. Why not give a little back?
