Life Beyond Work
We all know it's important to maintain a work-life balance, and also find ways to give back to our communities. At
least one InSys consultant is making this goal a reality, so we thought we'd tell you about it.
KidSave is an organization that tries to find permanent homes for older children. One of their programs brings orphan siblings to the
US each summer, for a six-week stay with a host family. The kids can come from Colombia, Russia or Kazakhstan, and while they're here the host family advocates on their behalf, introduces them to potential adoptive parents and generally
makes them welcome. Todd Dennison is an InSys consultant working as a Unix SysAdmin, and with his wife, he's been playing host this summer to a brother and sister from Colombia. The kids will be going home this Friday, but they'll be back
before long. The Dennison's are adopting them and their younger sister!
If you want to know more about KidSave, visit the website. You can make a donation there too, for a very
worthy cause.

AOL Disclosure Fuels Privacy Debate
Most search engines record the terms
users enter, along with the time of the requests and information on the computer used. While most sites have adopted privacy policies that restrict how this information can be used or shared, there are few laws or regulations that address
this issue. AOL's disclosure last week of the Web-search habits of more than 650,000 users has fueled the debate. Read the article.

InSys CEO to Participate in Networking Event
Next month, InSys CEO Linda Magnusson-Rosario will be
speaking at Raritan Valley Community College in a networking event sponsored by the Somerset County United Way Women's Initiative. The theme of the event is "Living and Working at the Speed of Technology," and joining Linda on
the panel will be Zackarie Lemelle, CIO of Ethicon, and Luke Iorio, VP of Business Development for IPEC Coaching.
The two-edged nature of technology is an interesting thing. It has certainly changed the way we relate to people but
it's not as clear whether it's a blessing or a curse. The new ability to connect can be an empowering experience, but it can be an addictive one, too. The key is to be sure you're controlling the relationship with your tools and not
letting them control you.
