Volume 2, Issue 2 - February 2007
We have some exciting news this month, although we won't know how the story ends for another week. InSys Consulting is in the running for the 2007
WEPO Award, given by the Women President's Educational Organization to honor an Outstanding Women's Business Enterprise in the New York City and Washington DC area. This award recognizes outstanding customer service, creative problem
solving and a commitment to diversity programs.
To be considered, a company must be nominated by its clients, and we're on the list thanks to endorsements from folks at UPS and at Cendant. (Thanks, guys!) The winner will be
announced at WEPO's annual awards breakfast, which will be held March 1, at Tavern on the Green.
Just being nominated is a tremendous honor, and I'm very excited at the possibility of taking home the prize. So wish us luck, keep
your fingers crossed, and send us some positive thoughts a week from tomorrow.
Regards,
Linda Magnusson-Rosario, CEO

We Got People
In
InSys Views, we like to highlight some of things our folks do when they're not on the job. This month, the spotlight is on Jim Russo, an InSys account manager at UPS. Jim works with an organization called the Council for Unity, a group he helped found at his Brooklyn high school some 32 years ago. For over three decades, CFU has been helping young people engage naturally in a safe and
nurturing environment. Through CFU activities, teens and pre-teens acquire skills in leadership, communication and conflict resolution, helping them grow into productive citizens and positive role models.
Jim has stayed involved
because of his own CFU experience. "We're at risk of losing the younger generation to gangs and drugs and prison," he says. "It's great to be able to do something about it. It's a good cause and a great group."
If you'd like to donate to CFU, or would like more information, drop Jim a note at jrusso@insysus.com.
