Volume 5, Issue 2 - February 2010
You may know that in my free time, I have two serious hobbies -- cooking and ice skating. If you do, you won't be surprised to learn that this week
I'm very focused on the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Not just the skating, but the whole spectacle of international competition. I love it!
Given the state of things these days, it's great that this event still brings people
together from all over the world, so we can watch them do their best. You can really feel their excitement, see their dedication and appreciate the hours and hours of work that's gotten them to where they are. I think there's sometimes too
much attention paid to the "medal count," but it's nice to see that the US is holding it's own so far.
Dedication in any form can be contagious, too. When you watch people compete at this level, it's inspiring. Very
few of us will ever have that kind of opportunity, but we can always strive to be the best at whatever life brings us.
