It's time to start gearing up for what's likely to be a challenging year, business-wise. While the national mood remains optimistic, it's
going to take focus, commitment and teamwork to turn things around. Those are all good things though, and we'll be better for the experience.
Outside of my CEO role, I see these principles in action every year. Some of you may know
that I'm the captain of an adult synchronized skating team. We're called Ice Magic, and we've won some medals, too. Doing that takes the personal commitment of each skater, to learn the routines, make time for practice sessions and travel
to the competitions. It's fun, but it's hard work, too. And the importance of working together is obvious. That's why they call it synchronized skating!
Most years, the bigger competitions are held out of state, but this year, the
Eastern Sectionals are right in New Jersey. They're being held next Thursday and Friday, at the Mennen Arena in Morristown. If you want to cheer us on, Ice Magic will be skating Friday evening, around 9:00. You can get the details here.
