I'm happy to report that I'm expanding our support for the Institute for the Economic Empowerment of Women. We're now listed as one of their official sponsors in 2010, along with companies like AT&T, Google and UPS. This is the group that brings women to the US each year for training and networking, and I was excited to serve as a mentor in their "Peace Through Business" program last summer. It's a great organization.

Their mission is to empower women to grow their businesses, pursue entrepreneurial ventures and become more active advocates for public policy reform. They do it with education and coaching, and by bringing women together as part of a larger, international business network.

Broadband for All

The FCC just released the first national broadband plan, and its major goals include bringing broadband service to all residents, connecting hospitals, schools and government buildings to 1G bps broadband service over the next decade, and building a nationwide, interoperable mobile broadband network for public safety agencies such as police and fire departments. Christopher Mauro Appointed InSys Technical Director

InSys is pleased to announce the addition of Christopher Mauro to its management team. As the Technical Director, Mauro will utilize his vast experience in the information technology industry to support the InSys sales and recruiting teams and serve as the key contact between InSys management and resources in the field.

Mauro's primary background is in Project Management and Business Analysis, having worked in the field as a consultant for JP Morgan Chase, Prudential Investments and others.
